table-booking.com // worldwide
including all other registered table-booking URLs (e,g. table-booking.asia, table-booking.de, table-booking.it etc.),hereinafter called TBS
(table-booking services), attaches great importance to your personal data.
We always strive to protect your personal data in accordance with data protection laws and to ensure we comply with statutory regulations.
Due to the fact that TBS is active worldwide, the data protection laws of the individual countries can deviate.
This Data Policy applies to all TBS applications, be it web-based via the Internet to end consumer products (PC, MAC) or via mobile applications and describes how, why and where we collect data and, where applicable, publish it and possibly disclose it to third parties
(e.g. restaurants, hotels or partner portals on which the restaurant search “widget” is included).
TBS, explicitly table-booking.com is a worldwide restaurant search engine with a real-time booking system with a combined Gourmet’s Community for all of those who like going out for a meal or drink and a restaurant guest management system with CMS. The software TBS is based on was developed by TBS meaning no data whatsoever (not even hidden) is disclosed to third party software providers.
COLLECTION AND USE OF DATA ON TBS
1) RESTAURANT INFORMATION
All data regarding the restaurants published on table-booking.com (also descriptions, menus and pictures) are collected from generally accessible sources or passed on to TBS by the restaurant operator and published.
2) THE USER’S PERSONAL DATA
The online table-booking system via the restaurant websites or “calendar apps” is linked directly to the web-based restaurant guest management of the individual restaurant and in the event of enquiries, automatically compares all booking details for each individual restaurant. This occurs either in addition to the common „reservation books in paper form“ or independent of them as a complete system
for all received bookings, whether by telephone, personally, per online booking or enquiry. Guests can make an online booking as unregistered users, change these or cancel them and invite other guests to a meal by means of an e-card.
When booking, the guest’s first name and surname, telephone or mobile number and email address are requested. TBS automatically passes this data on to the respective restaurant. If you are registered in the TBS community and register yourself, the registration data will
be added to or changed in your TBS profile.
3) USER DATA
You can also register as a TBS Gourmet’s Community member and simply log in to the portal with your user name and password to be
able to send other members messages, upload or rate restaurants or write articles in the Gourmet’s World. With this user name and password, you can make a booking via table-booking.com in whatever restaurant you want. If you are a member of the TBS Gourmet’s Community, the data stated in your profile will be automatically passed on to the restaurant. When booking, messages can be written to the restaurant which are then automatically passed on to the restaurant.
We do not use any data in a personified form, not even for the gathering of statistics for the restaurants or TBS. This includes data from which we can retrieve how often a guest has booked for how many people in which month or which websites he has visited.
It is irrespective which data is collected in a restaurant; it is never disclosed to another restaurant unless a chain of restaurants or restaurants with the same owner are involved and he has explicitly requested the transfer of the data.
4) COMMUNITY DATA
When registering in the Gourmet’s Community, certain data is obligatory. Otherwise, the entering of personal data is voluntary and not necessary for making a booking at a restaurant. As soon as the user creates a profile, he can make it visible “for friends only”, “to himself only” or “for all”. He thus freely decides which data in his portal profile is visible to third parties. He can change these settings at any time by clicking on “edit profile” and clicking the respective option in the boxes.
The only obligatory details are first name and surname, email address and user name and password. All other details are voluntary.
The email address is necessary for the user to be able to receive messages from other users and to receive information from TBS. All private messages can be deleted immediately and will also be deleted from the server and are irrecoverable.
The user can write articles in the Gourmet’s World; they are visible to all users. He can also write comments about restaurants that are visible to all. In this case, his user thumbnail is displayed and he can be contacted directly by other community members.
Posts that prove to be unjustified (e.g. defamatory statements, right-wing or pornographic contents) will be deleted by our system administrator immediately on recognition. In order to prevent the user from uploading the same contents again, the user will also be deleted at the same time.
5) DATA COLLECTION
In the following, we provide an overview of which data is collected for what purpose:
For technical reasons, the software on our website stores all information that you voluntarily transmit to us on forms (e.g. when registering, making comments, etc.). This concerns in particular links, comments, user names, e-mail addresses, password and other voluntary information and contents you knowledgably transfer. In the event of abuse of our website, attacks or the publishing of illegal contents, the transmitted data will be passed on by court rule. Users with user names and so-called SPAMBOTS that register themselves on TBS and prove to send SPAM mails or mails with damaging content via the TBS messaging system will be deleted by a TBS system administrator immediately on recognition. The same applies to posts by users for which TBS has received a threat of a warning that include proven copied contents from third parties.
Information transmitted via the contact form/e-mails is additionally stored on a local PC with the help of an e-mail program (in order to document the communication and be able to answer questions faster).
The TBS server is located in the USA. This means that all data is also stored locally on the server in the USA.

For technical reasons, TBS automatically collects and stores server log data that is automatically transmitted from your browser:

The contents of the plug-in are transmitted directly to your browser and linked up to the website from there. We have no influence on which data Facebook collects with the help of this plug-in and thus refer you directly to the data policy of Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/policy.php.
If you click the “Like” button on Facebook or make a comment, the corresponding information will be transferred directly from your browser to Facebook and stored there. Even if you are not a member of Facebook, it is possible for Facebook to find out your IP address and store it.

If you do not want this, please log out of Google or Yahoo! before visiting our TBS websites and do not use the OPEN ID function on the portal.
