The 100 best wines in the world >> The rankings of Wine Spectator 2012 has been announced.The Oscars of wine have therefore decreed the 100 best wines of the year.

Be included in the Top 100 is synonymous with quality and prestige, which is often also equivalent to positive commercial results. For consumers it is a good guide in the world of wines and maybe a way to impress friends and why not even make a good investment.

As always, the criteria used to generate the list, were four >> more than 17.000 wines were passed to the screen >> quality (represented by score), value (issue price), availability (measured according to bottles made or imported), and what has been called the "X-factor" or the excitement generated by such a wine.

In the list of Wine Spectator 2012, 13 countries are represented, the average score awarded to the wines in ranking was always higher than 93 points, while the average price per bottle is equivalent to 46 U.S. dollars.

Among the Italian wines we find sixteen labels, seven of which from Toscana and five from Piemonte. The one in the top ten, in ninth place, the Tuscan Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona Brunello di Montalcino 2007.
